And where else can we find the Kingdom of God? In a parish where the people
are, just like all of us here together;
do you know that we are the Kingdom of God? How are we sure that we
constitute the Kingdom of God? Here is
the truth, those who constitute the Kingdom of God are those who believe and worship God and they who serve one another.
Do
you know that Christ, our King does not allow abortion? He laments babies being killed by abortion while they are in their mother’s
wombs. If we truly belong to the Kingdom of God, we should say NO to a
legislation that allows this killing!
And
where is the Kingdom of God? How can we describe the Kingdom of God .we can
define it in the context of a community. God manifests Himself as a community.
At the creation he spoke in plural form, ”Let us make man, let us…" He
emphasize the relationship that exist between and among them through the Holy
Trinity. God, the Father sends Jesus His Son, to And Jesus said, in this grouping teaches us led that we live and exist as a
community after the Holy Trinity. The Kingdom of God is manifested in this
following kind of community:
Ø It is
a believing community. One that
believes in God; believes in what the Church is teaching through the Holy Father
and the bishops; and believe in one another. The Holy Father is the Visible Head of Christ here on earth. And
what the Holy Father teaches are the teachings of God Himself. And when the
Pope teach us to say NO to all kinds of evil, we have to listen to him, believe
him and follow him. Because Christ said, "He who listens to me, listens to Him
who sent me.”
Ø It is a worshipping
community. One that gives praise and glory to God. And this happens
when people are gathered for the Holy Mass…for the celebration of the seven
sacraments.
Ø It is
a serving community. When
people are concerned with one another. When people would respond to the
identified needs and problems. When each one would help within their capacity
to help.Do you know that on the Last Judgement,
those who would enter the Kingdom of God are those who feed the hungry, gave
drink to the thirsty ,welcomed a stranger, ,visited the sick and those who are in prison.
We have to help one another and carry the burden of others. We have to serve one another and remember what
counts before God is what we did for others.
In the end, we become a Community of Christ’s Disciples which is characterized by
unity and love -- the spirit of Jesus, our Lord.
