A story I read lately was said of a
man who asked God; “Christ are you really a King? Are you a powerful King, or a
weak one? There are many evils happening in the world. Wicked men dominate(ing)
the world: druglords, gambling lords,
kidnappers, killer, rapists, robbers, and terrorists! Many unborn babies are aborted;
many innocent people are victimized. Many people do not give importance to you!
A tricycle driver, who brought
passengers to a barangay was killed and left by the roadside to be run over by
passing vehicles."
Then we ask,Christ, where are
you? Where is your kingdom? Where is your power? If we look at what is
happening in the world, we would agree with that man asking Christ, “Where are
you?” Let’s go back to the Gospel of
today. What do we read and what do we
hear? Christ is in his special throne and what was his throne? THE CROSS! This was his throne. Is He sitting
there comfortably? No, he is nailed to His Cross, his throne .He could not move,
for if he does, he was in great pain. And he was bleeding to death!
As
a King, was he surrounded by soldiers?
Was he surrounded by servants to serve him? No!. He was surrounded instead by
the soldiers and the mob who nailed Him to His cross. And what where they
doing? they were jeering and sneering at
him! And they were saying,” he saved others ,he should save himself if indeed
He is Christ the chosen One by God.
